The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation started its journey with a donation of $20 B





























 Launched in 2000 with a donation from Bill Gates of $20 B, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, headquartered in Seattle, Washington, aims to enhance healthcare and reduce extreme poverty, and expand access to information technology and education, especially in the United States and developing countries.


Since its inception, the foundation has made total grant payments of over $65 B (through Q4 2021).
